Rutiside, Disposable Intraoperative Side-Emitting Fiber-Optic Surgical Illumination Device
Part No.: RS-01
Manufacturer: Swan Medical
Country of Origin: Spain
Rutiside® RS-01 is a sterile, single-use intraoperative fiber-optic illumination device engineered to provide high-intensity side-emitting light directly adjacent to the surgical field. Designed for attachment to commonly used surgical instruments, the device delivers localized illumination within a few centimeters of the operative site, enabling enhanced visualization of anatomical structures and improved access to poorly illuminated cavities and confined spaces. By bringing light closer to the target tissue, Rutiside® facilitates precise dissection and manipulation while reducing the need for repositioning overhead operating room lights. Its lightweight construction preserves instrument ergonomics, and its optimized color temperature ensures accurate chromatic reproduction of organs, vessels, and tissues. The device is particularly valuable in open surgical procedures where conventional ceiling-mounted lighting or surgical headlights are insufficient to provide the level of illumination required for optimal surgical precision. With an autonomy of up to five hours and compatibility with a wide range of instruments, Rutiside® represents an efficient and versatile solution for enhancing visibility and procedural safety across numerous surgical specialties.
